Cobar Swimming Club was extremely proud to enter 50 of its own swimmers to swim against our visiting clubs which included, Coonamble, Dubbo City Swimtech, Warren, Bourke, Lightning Ridge, Narromine, Orana Aquatic and Nyngan.

Fierce competition throughout the day eventuated in 61 records being broken.

Local club record holders include Wade Potter, Dylan Prince, Georgia Baker and Attila Szekely.

Cobar residents and committee alike were extremely proud of our very own girls five-year-old 17m backstroke record holder Jordan Warren. This young athlete’s achievement is what inspires the club to organise these carnivals to ensure all our swimmers experience competitive swimming events and friendly competition from our neighbouring communities.

The club is equally proud of all our competitors as they showcased the capabilities of our club and the generous welcoming nature of our community as they competed like true athletes.

The club would also like to thank our outstanding volunteers who assisted throughout the day in the heat all for the benefit of our young swimmers.
