Juniors kick off in ideal conditions

Beautiful conditions returned for the fourth round of Cobar Junior Soccer matches last Saturday at Ward Oval.

At 9am in the Minis division, United (5) defeated Wanderers (1).

The goals for United were kicked by James Mitchell (2), Benjamin Anderson (1), Georgina Whiteman (1) and Samuel Whiteman (1).

Kane Buckman scored the goal for Wanderers.

In the second game for this division Rangers (1) defeated Spurs (0).

Dominic Murphy was the only successful goal kicker in this game.

In the first game for the Mids division United (3) narrowly defeated Wanderers (2).

Goal scorers for United were Tom Smith (2) and James Anderson (1).

Nickolas Mines and Daniel Cohen kicked the goals for Wanderers.

The second game was also very closely contested with Spurs (2) just beating Rangers (1).

Henry Brookman and Robert Good scored a goal each for Spurs, while Darby Waugh found the net for Rangers.

The Seniors division saw a huge win for United (5) over Spurs (0).

Tayla Gilbert (2), Blake Heather (1), Damien Hunter (1) and Marshall Anderson (1) scored the goals for United.

The Under-18s division was a high-scoring game yet again, however, United (5) were still defeated by Spurs (9).

Brock Foster kicked two goals for United with Paddy Harris, Jason Foster and David Galloway adding one each.

Mat Shepherd (3), Lincoln Chatimba (2) Baden Smith (2), Kudzai Muchirahondo (1) and Zeb Tulloh (1) were successful kickers for Spurs.

The lucky recipients of the John Mitchell Pharmacy Weekly Soccer Awards were Brock Foster, Laura Hardin-Harpley, Lincoln Chatimba,

Mat Shepherd, Marshall Anderson, Tayla Gilbert, Jemma Heather, Damien Hunter, Slade Neale, Ben Claxton, Braydon Greenaway, Henry Brookman, Quinton Place, Blake Toomey, Jack Barnes, Kane Buckman, Georgina Whiteman, Stuart Taylor and Samuel Piper.
