25 Aug 10 | Cobar hosted its Annual Golden Clay Shoot and NSW Junior Masters Championships over the weekend with 155 shooters participating in eight events from Friday night to Sunday afternoon.

Blustery day for shooters
04 Aug 10 | On Sunday six archers competed in an unofficial shoot at the Cobar Bowman’s Club range in very cold, blustery conditions.
Shooters have fun on Sunday
14 Jul 10 | Eleven shooters had a fun day at Cobar Clay Target Club last Sunday which was the annual Beryl Jones Memorial shoot.
Opal open pistol shoot weekend
07 Jul 10 | Three pistol shooters travelled to Lightning Ridge to contest the 32nd annual opal open pistol shoot. The weekend started on a cool and crispy Saturday morning in the open air pistol range, this was followed by the Standard Pistol match and parts 1 of the Centre-Fire / Sport Pistol and the Rapid Fire match, Saturday night saw 90 odd shooters let their hair down in the Club House.
30 Jun 10 | Last Sunday, after the monthly working bee had been completed at the Cobar Pistol Club, five “die-hard” shooters braved both the very cold conditions and equipment malfunctions to compete in a 25 metre Standard pistol event.
23 Jun 10 | Local pistol shooters Steve Turton and sons Tim and Ben travelled to Lightning Ridge during the long weekend to contest the 32nd annual Opal Open pistol shoot.
