Sport season ends on top note

17 Dec, 2009 10:56 AM
The Far West Academy of Sport has ended its 2009 season on a high note, completing the final netball trials, CRL camp and football squad training in Warren over the weekend.

Country Rugby League Academy Coach Col Wright is delighted to announce four squad members have been invited to attend NRL club high performance camps in Sydney during January.

McCauley Dawson (Cobar) and Dylan Hately (Lake Cargelligo) have been selected to join Parramatta, while Luke Healey (Nyngan) and Khaleb Whitehurst (Cobar) will join the St George program.

The Sydney trip will give the young athletes a taste of what it’s really like to be an elite rugby league player by allowing them to experience club pre training programs while mixing with NRL players and staff for a full week. The FWAS office will close on Friday 18 December 18 and reopen on MondayJanuary 18, 2010.
