The winners of the day were Justin Bartlett, using his brand-new bowls for the first time, and Garry Elder, with a plus-20 margin.

The runners-up were Dick Roberts and Ken Harper with a plus-3 margin.

Social bowls last Saturday had a very small field of four players.

A meeting of the Western Plains Bowls Association was held at the Services’ Club on Sunday January 24.

Paddy Phillips is the new Western Plains president, while Daniel Holt is the secretary.

It was pleasing to see that Brewarrina has been re-affiliated into the Western Plains district.
