Par event puts 19 to challenge

A par event was the challenge facing the 19 starters on Saturday.

Young Bayley Prendergast with plus-7 proved too good for Dad and Ian (Pissa) who came in second (plus-6) with Jarrod Starr third with plus-6.

Nearest the pins went to Starr (2) and Jeb Bishop.

Twenty-seven teams of three competed in a three-man Ambrose on Sunday.

Winners on the day was the team of John Potter, Richard Maple and Dean McLeod (55 nett). They were pursued by Daryl Lynch, Tony Brown, Bian Smith (57 2/3) and Brian Obray, Alan Sharpe and Craig Jones (58 2/3).

Nearest the pins were hit by Lynch, Herbie Dunne, Rob Josephson and Bruce Mitchell.

The ladies event went to Janine Ryan, Pam Sikora and Fay Hardwick (63) followed by Chris Grammer, Youlanda Taylor and Sue-Ellen Dunne (63 ½) and Barbara Barklimore, Brenda Fugar and Donna Prendergast (64 ½).

Nearest the pins were recorded by Fay Hardwick, Brenda Fugar, Angela Fryer (2) and Sue Phillips.

Gold this weekend commences with a Stableford event on Saturday.

Sunday is the annual Langford Day which is a Mixed Canadian event.
