The fourth round of the WGNSW Monthly Medal was won by Ann Dunn last Wednesday with a 70 nett score and as an added bonus Ann was also the putting winner with 23 putts.
Chrissy Grammer was the runner-up on 72 nett with Angela Fryer in third position carding 74 nett.
The Cobar lady pennants team were triumphant over Narromine last Friday on home soil winning all five matches.
Gloria Hay, Sally Bannister and Rachel Kennedy all had easy wins against their opponents.
Jannine Wilkin had to tough it out till the 18th for a win while Susan Wyllie was victorious on an extra hole after coming in even after 18.
All ladies (with the exception of Rachel who gained 1 shot) had to give a number of shots to the Narromine team and now wait till the last round between Trangie and Narromine for the final results of all matches played.
On Saturday the mixed foursomes were held with the results appearing in the men’s column this week.
Sunday’s par game had Viv Beehan making a return to the winner’s circle as well as breaking her handicap with a plus 2 score followed by Gloria Hay on a countback from Ann Dunn who both posted plus 1.
Pam Sikora picked up both nearest the pins on the 8th and 15th holes.
A small contingent of Cobar golfers travelled to Tottenham for the 27-hole open last Sunday.
The first 18 holes were played in cold windy conditions but the sun finally broke through after lunch for the last 9 holes.
Players came from Tottenham, Cobar, Nyngan, Warren, Condobolin, Narromine and Albert .

Today is a stableford game while on Saturday the Vets’ Club Championships will be held in conjunction with a stroke game for non vets.
